I was Born in New York City and raised between Cannes and Barcelona. Before getting into photography, I studied philosophy in Montpellier, American Literature and Filmmaking in Barcelona, followed by Journalism studies at UCLA. I speak several languages including Spanish and French.
While writing for publications in the US and Spain, I discovered photography, and I was seduced by the infinite possibilities between f-stops, Shutter speeds and film emulsion. I fell in love with catching “the moment.” Making people look beautiful was initially easy for me and drew me in, but capturing the “essence” as one art director said to me, was the real challenge. I found I had to approach each subject intuitively. A few years back, after much resistance I turned to digital picture taking. It was instant infatuation. I could be the Master, in total control of look of my images. I was and am thrilled by the endless possibilities of digital photo manipulation. I specialize in advertising and editorial portraits. I have been working for the past 3 years on Merck new Shingles vaccine: Zostavax. My personal work is always evolving with multiple projects. Right now, it is about the cold beauty of Icebergs, panoramic landscapes and a series of portraits on the before and after of autistic kids transformed by surfing.
I live in L.A with my girlfriend Lauren and our cat Chuchuno. I indulge crazy passions like heliboarding and kitesurfing. I am available for assignments anywhere in the US or abroad, any excuse for traveling!
